The New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities (NJCDD) is hiring a Disability Services Specialist 1 to join our team. The Disability Services Specialist 1 will be responsible for overseeing advocacy activities for individuals with IDD and their families across the lifespan. Additionally, the Disability Services Specialist 1 will work with the team to implement the goals, objectives and key activities outlined in NJCDD’s annual work plan, in accordance with our federally approved five-year state plan. Responsibilities include monitoring and evaluating key activities, preparing federal reports, engaging people with lived experience, and optimizing advocacy outcomes.
Federally authorized through the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, the New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities is a self-governing organization charged with identifying the most pressing needs of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities and their families in New Jersey and advancing public policy and systems change activities.
