The discussion will cover the Special Education Transportation Task Force; the DOE Special Ed office’s initiatives taken around school bus safety; and requirements for school bus personnel to contact 911 in life-threatening emergencies\, along with related reporting and recordkeeping protocols and safety equipment standards for buses transporting students with disabilities (S2456).\nAbout the Caucus\nSince 2020\, the New Jersey Legislative Disability Caucus has served as a bipartisan forum within the New Jersey Legislature for lawmakers and their staff to consider the impact on the disability community when shaping ALL public policies in the Garden State through increased awareness and a greater understanding of the complexities of the disabilities service system and issues affecting individuals with disabilities and their families.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
